Sunday Celebrations
So much to celebrate in this Sunday service! After Pastor Bart welcomed everyone, the youth band led us in opening the service with the joyful sound of praises. Briella, Alexa, Nathan, Landon, Charis, Alaina, Shane and Micah each did a great job as they used their gifts to serve their church family. Spring Cleaning
It was time for a good spring cleanup at the church, inside and outside. Pastor Bart trimmed up the shrubs, and Dean helped with the cleanup. Tom and Jan did a lot of windows and spot cleaning. Church Camping 2026
At the end of May the church campers gathered at the Auburn campground. They had great weather for the weekend. The kids had a blast with crafts, a slip and slide, biking, the playground, the bounce mat, and floating down the river on tubes. We had campfires, a potluck dinner, movie night, and the corn hole tournament. Cornhole- 1st- Jeff and Andrew, 2nd- Brent and Steve, and 3rd- Micah and Jacob Droppert. Cub Car Night!
Every year the Cadet boys’ club is excited for their cub car racing event! Each boy is given a block of wood and a set of wheels, and they are to design and paint a car. It must be under a certain weight. The cars are numbered and this year’s judges were Doug, Tyler and Conner. Cars are judged on sanding work, accuracy of construction, tidy painting and overall design. Then it is time for the race! Dads and boys…
Membership Meeting
We had a good turnout for the our spring membership meeting. Pastor Bart welcomed everyone and gave a short devotional to start our meeting. We had a series of financial reports – Brent presented the 2025 financial statements, Matt presented the special offerings for 2025, and Bill reported on the 2025 Audit of the church books. Flash Mob Raking!
It was a cool spring morning, but the drizzle had stopped. Everyone gathered for muffins and coffee, thanks to Betty. Karen had organized all of the yards to rake, and she put the jobs in groups. Then the people had to get into groups – Doug, Murray, and Josh were our leaders. Around 9, T-shirts were on, and with rakes, gloves and tarps in hand, the teams set out. GEMS Sunday
We celebrated our GEMS on Sunday, with a special service for the girls and their leaders. Pastor Bart welcomed everyone and the Youth band led the singing, opening our service with a joyful sound! Once the GEMS gathered on the stage in their colourful T-shirts, they did the actions to “Every Move I Make” and recited their theme verse together. GEMS Family Night
As a final big event for the year, the GEMS girls welcomed their families to attend a special evening together. Lindsay welcomed everyone to enjoy the amazing cakes and snacks, and then the classes each had presentations for the crowd. Grade 3 and 4 did actions along with “Every Move I Make”. Cadet Sunday
The boys were happy to participate in our Cadet Sunday service. They gathered in the fellowship hall, ready to enter the auditorium. The Cadets filed onto the stage and recited their code, verse, pledge and motto. They led the congregation in a litany, and we sang their theme song “Living For Jesus”. Easter in KidsMin
Nicole Klasen, our children’s ministry director, and her team of helpers worked hard to put together an Easter immersive experience for the kids this year. The children moved through 4 stations, to hear the scripture, and participate in a connecting activity. The first station was the Lord’s Supper, with a foot washing experience. The next station was the Garden of Gethsemane. Children were invited to pray for someone in their lives. The children also gathered at the Golgatha station, where…
GEMS Special Event
The GEMS are always great at hosting special evenings! This was for the GEMS and their favourite “him” – a PAR-ticularly fun event! Tables were all set to welcome the girls with their dads, grandpas, uncles, or friends. Pastor Bart opened the evening with a short devotion, and then the fun began.
