Flash Mob Raking!
It was a cool spring morning, but the drizzle had stopped. Everyone gathered for muffins and coffee, thanks to Betty. Karen had organized all of the yards to rake, and she put the jobs in groups.
Then the people had to get into groups – Doug, Murray, and Josh were our leaders. Around 9, T-shirts were on, and with rakes, gloves and tarps in hand, the teams set out.
Adults and kids alike worked hard to rake and tidy over 30 lawns. Their work was greatly appreciated.
Shortly after 12, all returned to the church for pizza and pop – well deserved refreshments.
Thank you to everyone who came out to serve our community! It is a great way to show Jesus’ love to our neighbours!
