GEMS Sunday
We celebrated our GEMS on Sunday, with a special service for the girls and their leaders. Pastor Bart welcomed everyone and the Youth band led the singing, opening our service with a joyful sound!
Once the GEMS gathered on the stage in their colourful T-shirts, they did the actions to “Every Move I Make” and recited their theme verse together. The theme this year was Walk on Water, with a verse from Deuteronomy 7.
Voilet, Katherine, Kylin and Lead shared about what they enjoyed at GEMS. They loved the special event evenings, the crafts, camping, badge work, songs, and spending time with their friends. They also had a special gift for Lindsay, who is much loved and appreciated as the GEMS leader.
Julia and Sigrid led us in a prayer for our congregation.
Pastor Bart preached on the theme “Walk on Water”, stepping out to trust our faithful God.
Amber and Vana announced the offering for the GEMS program.
It was a great service, celebrating all that God is doing in the GEMS program! And we give thanks for Lindsay and her amazing team of leaders and junior leaders – they love Jesus and they love the girls!
