Palm Sunday
We gathered together on Palm Sunday to begin Holy Week together. The band led us in loud “Hosannas” as the children entered, waving their palm branches. Jack Tacoma was our guest preacher and he joined the band with his harmonicas. With special prayers and thoughtful teaching, we entered Holy Week, beginning Jesus’ journey to the cross and his triumphant resurrection. You are welcome to join us for our Good Friday service, Friday at 10 am.
Sunday at the River!
Sunday March 31st – we woke up to another snowy day, but there was warmth and life at the MRCC! Peter and the band led us in songs of praise about God’s grace and love for us. Rein, Bill, Sheryl, Jackie and Deb brought the scripture to life with a dramatic reading of the scripture, and Pastor Henry continued the sermon series on The Peter Principles. Lynda shared her testimony with us, and everyone was encouraged by her story. After church, we welcomed newcomers to a special lunch where they could enjoy some tasty food, and hear about some of the church activities. It was a great Sunday at the River!
