The Cadets from the Maitland Valley church groups gathered on Saturday, January 27 to compete in their annual Snow Derby! The weather was agreeable, not too cold or windy, as the teams met on the 3rd line in the town of Minto. In the morning the boys competed in compass reading, trail signs, shelter building, First Aid, the sled race and target shooting. After a warm lunch,  the teams had to get a fire going, and be the first to boil water. The MRCC Cadets did great and brought home 3 third place finishes, and 1 second place finish. Good job, boys, and thank you to our amazing Cadet leaders!
