The GEMS girls’ club is off to a great start this season, with some fun activities.
The Gems kickoff was at Lindsay Scheurwater’s, where the girls started off with some games, enjoyed roasting marshmallows and making pies and cinnamon rolls in a pie iron, as well as found out this year’s GEMS theme (Rise Up) by searching for glow in the dark letters around the property and unscrambling them!
Gems camping was for the Gr. 5-8 girls, and they swam in the Maitland river, made pizzas using a pie iron, went out to a clearing to look at the stars and played man hunt in the dark.
The GEMS group is for girls in grades 3-8, and meets on Thursday nights from 7 – 8:30, at the church.
