A very full Sunday worship service for our Third Sunday of Advent. We began with joyful singing, and Matt and Cassy lit our Joy Candle on the Advent wreath.   The children presented their Christmas song, all dressed in costume.  Cassy led them in enthusiastic actions – it was a joy to watch!  Karen Lubbers, missionary to Uganda, joined us to give an update on her life and mission work this year.  And the children were excited to present her with an overflowing suitcase, full of supplies and surprises for her work in Uganda.  Karen spent time with the children, telling them a Bible story, and teaching them a new song.  Bill Cooper gave a dramatic retelling of another parable in our Jesus Comes series.  Lots of guests joined us to watch the children – it was a service with much to celebrate!
