GEMS Family Night
As a final big event for the year, the GEMS girls welcomed their families to attend a special evening together.
Lindsay welcomed everyone to enjoy the amazing cakes and snacks, and then the classes each had presentations for the crowd.
Grade 3 and 4 did actions along with “Every Move I Make”.
Several girls shared about their favourite parts of GEMS. They loved the crafts, the songs, the camping, the special events, and being with their friends.
Grade 5 did a dramatic presentation of Peter walking on the water.
Grade 6, 7, and 8 put together an inspiring video of what following Jesus means in your life.
There was a special presentation for Jaela, who has earned 100 badges this year! That is a great accomplishment, and one rarely seen in a GEMS club. A gold star award for her!
Kenzie and Sophia are two GEMS graduating from the program this year. We wish them all the best as they join the Youth group.
Briella and Alaina are two junior counsellors who are moving on to University this year. Alaina has been part of GEMS as a GEM and as a junior leader, for 11 years. Emily thanked them for their enthusiasm and love for the GEMS!
Junior leaders are an important part of this program – they are so valued.
Lindsay thanked all her leaders for a wonderful year. Caring for and mentoring these young girls is a special and joyful task, with big rewards in the kingdom of God!
