A Sweet Idea!
The Wingham Christmas Parade was fast approaching, and the decorating team was hard at work. Jan dreamed up a pretty sweet idea! It was the coffee break ladies that made all the candy themed decorations. The theme was “Jesus makes life sweet”. The theme idea came from the cotton candy we were going to hand out.
Jan, Karen, William and Lindsay braved the cold on Saturday morning to put it all together. Josh drove his truck and pulled the trailer in the parade. Tania made 500 bags of cotton candy and to that were attached invitations to our Christmas Eve services. All 500 of them were handed out!
18 GEMS girls rode the float and a few GEMS leaders handed out the cotton candy and invitations.
There was a Gems banner on one side and a River kids one on the other side.
It was a team effort, and it turned out great!
