On June 8th, with the worldwide church, we celebrated Pentecost. This is the day the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, as we read in Acts 2. Maria and the worship band started our service with singing, and Tobi and Amber gave an opening prayer together. Pastor Bart preached on the Acts 2 passage, challenging us to live and serve in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Maria and Tobi, as youth leaders, called the grade 12 youth forward. They had a special scripture and gift for each of the youth who are graduating from the Youth program and moving on to further education. We blessed them with our prayers as we gathered around them.
It was a great service of celebration and thanksgiving to God, for all His gifts to us.
