GEMS Sunday
We celebrated our GEMS on Sunday, with a special service for the girls and their leaders. Pastor Bart welcomed everyone and the Youth band led the singing, opening our service with a joyful sound! GEMS Family Night
As a final big event for the year, the GEMS girls welcomed their families to attend a special evening together. Lindsay welcomed everyone to enjoy the amazing cakes and snacks, and then the classes each had presentations for the crowd. Grade 3 and 4 did actions along with “Every Move I Make”. Cadet Sunday
The boys were happy to participate in our Cadet Sunday service. They gathered in the fellowship hall, ready to enter the auditorium. The Cadets filed onto the stage and recited their code, verse, pledge and motto. They led the congregation in a litany, and we sang their theme song “Living For Jesus”. Easter in KidsMin
Nicole Klasen, our children’s ministry director, and her team of helpers worked hard to put together an Easter immersive experience for the kids this year. The children moved through 4 stations, to hear the scripture, and participate in a connecting activity. The first station was the Lord’s Supper, with a foot washing experience. GEMS Special Event
The GEMS are always great at hosting special evenings! This was for the GEMS and their favourite “him” – a PAR-ticularly fun event! Tables were all set to welcome the girls with their dads, grandpas, uncles, or friends. Pastor Bart opened the evening with a short devotion, and then the fun began. Christmas Eve
It was a lovely, mild winter evening to meet for our Christmas Eve services! Candles lit the auditorium as folks gathered. GEMS in the Parade!
The GEMS girls are always excited to have a float in the Wingham Santa Claus parade, and this year was no exception! With the theme of gingerbread in the bakery, and shining for Jesus, the Wednesday morning coffee break ladies group set to work, designing and cutting. New Ministry Director
As our Kid’s Ministry continues to grow, we have hired a new ministry director. Nicole Klasen began working in November, and she is excited about the possibilities for children’s ministry. This Sunday she was commissioned in our worship service. After answering a few questions, leaders and children prayed over her, as she serves in this important role. Youth Band
We are always excited when our Youth Band leads us in worship! Tyler opened the service and welcomed everyone. Briella, Shane, Alexa, Nathan, Micah, Landon, Charis and Alaina were the members of the band. They all did a great job! Sunday At the River
We gathered together for a special Sunday in October. The worship band led us in opening songs of praise. Fall Retreat
Youth Fall Retreat 2025Our youth headed out on the annual road trip to Fall Retreat at Muskoka Woods from September 26–28! We were blessed with beautiful weather and an incredible weekend together. GEMS Campout
The GEMS began their season with a fun weekend campout for the grade 5-8 girls. The girls enjoyed fun activities together, lots of laughter and of course, cozy campfires at night. On Thursday all the girls got together for a campfire at the Sheurwater’s place. Everyone is looking forward to a new, exciting season of GEMS on Thursday nights. Backpack Blessing

Vacation Bible School was a great fun success this year! The lead team of Alicia, Cassy, Emma, Alissa and Jessica led a team of over 40 volunteers to run the Maker Fun Factory! Every morning was started by Emily and Mariah and their drama team, opening the day with skits and songs. Children enjoyed hearing Bible stories, building crafts and projects, fun games and activities, and yummy snacks. And the theme always reminded them that they were God’s children, created…
Church Camping
Church camping was a great success despite the colder weather this year. The plus – no mosquitos! Thirteen trailers/tents occupied the site, and twenty boats were in the water on Saturday morning. The kids played games, biked, and had a blast from morning to night! There was a potluck/pork roast on Saturday evening, and Josh and Steve were the corn hole tournament champions. Big Give
After hours of collecting, gathering, unboxing, re-boxing, sorting and displaying, the Big Give was ready! Saturday brought beautiful weather, and by early morning the parking lot was full of lots of treasures. And everything was free! Good stuff to be found outside and inside. A free BBQ lunch was also served. Jan and Karen and lots of volunteers were around to welcome and help all who came out to find something special. It was a great success!
